Dream interpretation

We've all had dreams that have stayed with us, whether they were scary, wonderful, or just annoyingly recurrent. That's because they have something to tell us. When we write down and interpret our dreams, we tap into an important resource for self-development and understanding.

Our dreams are symbolic messages from the depths of our most fundamental self - the self that is not limited or controlled by the waking, logical mind.

They are intensely personal and individual, but also take us closest to the universal and spiritual, for example when we have prophetic or telepathic dreams, or a very real dream encounter with a lost loved one.

Do you have a dream that you'd like some help with? Submit the details to me and I'll publish the interpretation here on the Triple Moon site, or reply to you personally if you'd prefer. While I promise to try and answer as many as I can, you may need to be patient when demand is great.

Example dream
"I was standing by the kitchen table when I saw a massive, fat pig doing a wee up against the fridge. It was so pale it was practically white in colour and was really flabby. I remember thinking how disgusting it was and that I'd have to clean it up. Then a skinny, sly fox slinked in. My first instinct was to pick up a broom and poke it to keep it away, which I did, but it turned quite nasty and was going to go for me. I suddenly decided to try another tactic and threw it a big wedge of meat. At first it seemed suspicious of the food but then it calmed down and began to eat it, ignoring me." Annabella, Newcastle

Interpretation
Strange as it may sound, Annabella, there are lots of encouraging messages in here. The pig has a dual meaning - the first is success in professional and business matters and this is given more emphasis by the fact it was white, which promises success, and fat. Urine is a symbol of increasing creative power or strength so I'd say you were in for some positive changes on the career front, probably involving some new ideas. The other meaning of the pig is frustrations with the family, and this is reinforced in the disgust you felt but the problems are only petty and won't annoy you for very long. Food (which is kept in a fridge) is generally a good omen but the fact that you didn't see it, it was in the fridge, says to me that the success mentioned earlier is in cold storage - not ready to happen until you've explored your creative new ideas.

The fox, as you might expect, is a warning about someone around you who is a sly, possibly hidden, enemy but the broom suggests a surprising change for the better. This is supported by the fact that when you changed your tactic the fox was no longer dangerous. I think this means that whoever this enemy is (and I get the feeling it could be someone in your own family), you'll find that a bit of kindess and generosity can diffuse the situation. They'll be thrown at first because your reaction isn't what they're expecting (the fox's suspicion) but it will do the trick and you'll avoid what could have been a very awkward state of affairs!
